Why Heat Pumps Now

One System. Heat, AC & a $10,000 Rebate.

South Shore homes were built around oil boilers and window ACs. A cold-climate heat pump replaces both — quieter, cleaner, cheaper to run, and heavily subsidized to install.

  • Up to $10,000 in Mass Save rebates for whole-home conversions
  • 0% HEAT loan up to $25,000 — savings often exceed the payment
  • $2,000 federal tax credit stacks on top
  • Real cold-climate performance — full heat well below zero
  • No ductwork needed — perfect for capes, colonials, and triple-deckers

Project Types

From One Room to the Whole House

Single-Zone Comfort

That one room that's never right — the bonus room, the sunroom, the bedroom over the garage. One head, one quiet outdoor unit, fixed.

Multi-Zone Systems

Two to five indoor heads on one outdoor unit: per-room control for the floors you live on, with the biggest comfort jump per dollar.

Whole-Home Conversion

Retire the oil boiler entirely. This is the project the $10,000 rebate was built for — and the one we design most carefully.

Good Questions

Heat Pump FAQ

Do mini splits really heat through a Massachusetts winter?
Yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps are rated to deliver full heat output well below 0°F — they heat homes in Maine and Vermont, and they handle South Shore winters with room to spare. The technology changed; the old reputation didn't keep up.
How much can I get in Mass Save rebates?
Whole-home conversions qualify for up to $10,000 in Mass Save rebates, with partial-home installs earning per-ton amounts. Add the 0% HEAT loan up to $25,000 and the federal 25C tax credit, and most projects look very different than the sticker price.
Will a heat pump lower my bills if I heat with oil?
Oil, propane, and electric-resistance homes see the biggest savings — often dramatically so. We'll show the math for your actual home, fuel prices, and usage at the assessment, not a generic brochure number.
Do I need a unit in every room?
No. Good design uses fewer, better-placed heads plus your home's natural airflow. Oversizing with too many heads is the most common mistake in this industry — it costs more and runs worse.
Do you handle the rebate paperwork?
Every page of it. Eligibility confirmation, equipment registration, rebate filing, and HEAT loan authorization — done for you. You see the rebate as a real number on your quote, not a 'maybe later.'
