Why Radiant

Heat the Room, Not the Ceiling

Forced air stratifies — hot at the ceiling, cold at your ankles. Radiant flips that: gentle warmth radiating up from the floor, exactly where you live.

  • Warm floors every morning — tile, stone, and hardwood that never shock your feet
  • Silent and invisible — no vents, no baseboards eating wall space, no fan noise
  • Healthier air — nothing blowing dust and allergens around the house
  • Zone-by-zone control — heat the bathroom at 6am without heating the guest room
  • Lower operating temps — pairs perfectly with high-efficiency boilers and heat pumps

What We Install

Three Ways to Get Warm Floors

Electric Mat Systems

The bathroom-and-kitchen favorite. Thin heating mats go under new tile with a programmable thermostat — the highest-impact upgrade per dollar in any remodel.

Hydronic Retrofit Panels

Low-profile warm-water panels bring true radiant to additions, primary suites, and first floors without raising floor heights dramatically.

Whole-Home Hydronic

Designed into new construction and gut renovations: every room on warm water loops, zoned precisely, running silently for decades.

Good Questions

Radiant Heating FAQ

Does radiant floor heating work under hardwood and tile?
Yes — tile and stone are the best conductors, and engineered hardwood performs beautifully over modern hydronic systems. We design floor-by-floor so every finish gets the right water temperature or wattage.
Is radiant heat expensive to run?
Radiant runs at lower temperatures than baseboard or forced air and heats people and objects instead of just air, so most homes see lower bills for more comfort — especially paired with a high-efficiency heat source.
Can you add radiant to an existing home, or only new construction?
Both. Bathrooms, kitchens, and additions are everyday retrofit projects using electric mat or low-profile hydronic panels. Whole-home radiant is best designed into new builds and gut renovations.
How long does a radiant floor install take?
A single bathroom is typically done within your tile project's schedule. Whole-home hydronic systems are designed and roughed in alongside your builder's timeline — we coordinate directly with your GC.
